LEV Testing, CNC Lathes and Mills, Machinable Ceramics

May has been a busy month not only with fulfilling our customers’ orders but with some very important servicing and testing.

At the beginning of the month Steve from S&D Extraction  spent a day on site to carry out our LEV Testing. LEV testing, or Local Exhaust Ventilation testing, is required by law under COSHH regulations and are typically performed every 14 months. This procedure is required to ensure that extraction systems effectively remove potentially hazardous substances from the air, protecting our workers from exposure. S&D Extraction carry out a thorough examination of our ventilation system, including inspections of hoods, ducts, filters, etc., and provide detailed reports to demonstrate that the system is functioning correctly and effectively.

This week we had a Hurco  on site to carry out servicing of our Hurco Lathes and Mill. Our CNC Lathes and Mills are vital for Production of our Machinable Ceramics, Macor (www.macor.info) Machinable Glass Ceramic, Shapal Hi M Soft (Machinable Aluminium Nitride) and Pyrophyllite.  CNC machine tools offer high precision and repeatability, making them suitable for producing complex and intricate shapes. They perform various operations like turning, grooving, facing, drilling and thread forming.
We can also supply raw material for customers to machine their own components.
