The Start of 2026

Following the Christmas and New Year celebrations, (we had our Company’s Christmas Dinner in December at one of our local restaurants in Newport.  This year we chose Da vinci’s the food and ambiance were superb) anyway that all feels like a long time ago for we have now been back to work for several weeks.

As I am sure we can all agree, the Start of 2026 weather wise has certainly been grim for much of the UK.  First Cold and snow, although no snow for us right down in the far south and now relentless wind and rain. Mind you the daily news worldwide has not given us much to smile about either. On a more positive note, driving around our beautiful Island snowdrops and daffodils are already shooting up, which makes one think that Spring is just around the corner.

It has been a busy start to 2026 here at Ceramic Substrates, we knew before our Christmas shutdown that upon our return to work on 2 January we would need to hit the ground running. 

We have some very interesting bespoke projects we are currently working on and our CNC Engineers are enjoying the challenges they are faced with, designing and machining precision engineered components from our portfolio of machinable ceramics.  The majority of components are made from drawings supplied by the customer but often no drawing is available, so we must use a sample of the component.
