Upon returning to work following the Christmas and New Year shutdown, we seemed to have hit the ground running. Our works schedule is extremely busy in all areas, such as, Machinable Ceramics, Bespoke, Laser Cut substrates using the numerous materials that we offer, for example:- Macor Machinable Glass Ceramic, Shapal Hi M Soft, BNP-2, Pyrophyllite Aluminium Silicate, Steatite and Alumina.
A new member has joined our CNC Department to work alongside our established team of Engineers. Anthony’s qualifications and skill set covers a range of experience within the CNC remit, programming and operating various machines. The task ahead for Anthony is learning about our materials, the speeds and feeds and the relevant tooling that can be used with Ceramics.
Our General Production Team will also have a new team member starting on Wednesday, “Judy”. Judy will be assisting Sean our Production Manager with inspecting and packing.
We wish both Anthony and Judy all the best in their new position’s and are pleased to welcome them to the Ceramic Substrates Team.
Enquiries from all over the world come through daily and some of the projects are quite in-depth, involving consultations between the Customer and our Engineers, to assist with the implementation of Ceramic components within the customer’s application. Chris our Senior Tool Maker likes nothing more than a new project to get his teeth into, working on designs for the manufacture of the Tool, ascertaining the tolerances that will work with the tool, the relevant Press that will produce the part and the finished fired component. These projects are very interesting and a great challenge for the Team.
